IMAGINE stands for Interactive Media Animation Games Interactive Network Enviroments
Theme
The 2025 edition of XARTS will explore the design of transmedia characters and the formation of personality across interactive environments. We focus on interdisciplinary methods spanning animation, game design, performance, networked systems, and artificial intelligence. Workshop-based prototype development will engage both performative physical interaction and AI-driven design documentation.

- May 31, 2025: Notification of acceptance for XARTS 2025
- June 20, 2025: Full Conference paper submission
- June 21-22, 2025: Conference - XARTS 2025 (presentation of conference papers)
- June 23-28, 2025: Summer school workshops - XARTS 2025 (presentation of workshop papers)
- July 31, 2025: Submission of special issue paper
- September 30, 2025: Notification of acceptance for the special issue
- December 2025: Special issue publication

1. Conference Submissions (Scientific and Artistic Research, Artistic Performances, Demos)
- Abstract for conference presentation (1 page).

Registration

At least one author/artist of each accepted work must register for the event.

Participation in the summer school provides 3 ECTS for students from eligible European institutions.

Proceedings
All peer-reviewed and accepted submissions (conference and workshop papers) will be published in conference proceedings and a special issue journal after the completion of the conference. More information to be announced.
