INTERNATIONAL  ON-LINE SUMMER SCHOOL "3DGeoHeritage2023"

The identification, mapping, and documentation of natural and cultural heritage elements can be used for the international recognition of sites by UNESCO (World Heritage Sites, World Geoparks, Biosphere Reserves).

The aim of the International on-line Summer School entitled 3DGeoHeritage2023 is to train undergraduate and/or postgraduate students and graduates in 3D mapping and 3D/4D visualization, at different geographical, cartographic and spatial scales (3D multiscale mapping) of areas of particular natural and cultural heritage interest (e.g. geotopes of the Lesvos Geopark).

The Summer School is implemented in the framework of the e- Aegean CulTour project "Digital Transformation of the North Aegean in Culture and Tourism". Action 1.1 [3D GeoHeritageMap] Identification, Documentation and Monitoring with 3D mapping methods in the Management of Geological Heritage Monuments.
