The Naxos Summer School "Emmanuel Marmaras" 2026 under the title ‘‘Smart & Mindful Islands’’ has appointed experienced lectures, including academic professors and researchers and distinguished members of the European academic community coming from International Universities and research institutions both abroad and Greece:

The Naxos "Manolis Marmaras" Summer School 2026 emphasizing in the subject of 'Smart & Mindful Islands' and aims to train participating undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department of Geography, and the Department of Business Administration of the School of Social Sciences in the special subject of regional Geography of local development, spatial planning and the geography of innovations in the island area. More specifically, the Department of Geography of the University of the Aegean has decided to organize the Manolis Marmaras Summer School Naxos 2026 (INNOVIS2026) entitled 'Smart & Mindful Islands', which will take place on July 2-July 20, 2026 in Naxos Town, in collaboration with the following Universities: University of Palermo (Italy), University of Frederick (Cyprus) and University of Nicosia (Cyprus). The Naxos Summer School "Emmanuel Marmaras" 2026 under the title ‘Smart & Mindful Islands’ has appointed experienced lectures, including academic professors and researchers and distinguished members of the European academic community coming from International Universities and research institutions both abroad and Greece The seminars of the Naxos Summer School will be accommodated in Naxos Town Hal, which has been kindly provided by the Municipality of Naxos and Small Cyclades. The Naxos 2026 Summer School will include both theoretical classes and field exercises during morning and afternoon classes. The Naxos 2026 Scientific Steering Committee has run the Department of Geography, University of the Aegean Summer School successfully during the last 23 years, including academic professors and researchers and distinguished members of the European academic community coming from various International Universities and research institutions both abroad and Greece The Naxos 2026 Summer School is included as academic module in the curriculum of the Department of Geography, University of the Aegean (http://www.geo.aegean.gr/updates/files/[news][983cc8e9bd02ae5].pdf). The Naxos 2026 Summer School is addressed to undergraduate and postgraduate students, PhD candidates, as well as researchers and post-doctoral students. The number of eligible students will be selected under the designated selection process by the Steering Committee. The language of seminars will be Greek and English. The Naxos 2026 Summer School will be supported by the Municipality of Naxos and Small Cyclades, for providing the seminars’ venue and in collaboration with the Hellenic Geographical Association. Moreover, the organisers will provide students with the seminars’ studying material, seminars; notes, slides copies, as well as any other hard or soft copy material related with the Naxos 2026 Summer School.
