Resilience in Education - RESEDU2026
The summer school entitled “Psychological Resilience and Crisis Management in Educational Settings” aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of education and mental health professionals in the prevention, identification, and management of crises within school contexts. In an increasingly complex and rapidly changing social environment, where children and adolescents are exposed to multiple psychosocial risks, fostering psychological resilience emerges as a critical factor for promoting well-being and supporting positive learning trajectories. The program is grounded in contemporary theoretical frameworks, including resilience theory and trauma-informed education, adopting an interdisciplinary and practice-oriented approach. Through a combination of theoretical lectures and experiential workshops, participants will become familiar with strategies for strengthening resilience at both individual and community levels, methods of risk assessment, and techniques for immediate and long-term intervention in crisis situations. Special emphasis is placed on the development of resilient school communities, the collaboration between schools, families, and support services, as well as on the prevention of professional burnout through self-care practices for educators. The program is addressed to teachers, psychologists, special educators, and students in related fields, and leads to certified training through a Lifelong Learning Center (KEDIVIM). The summer school aspires to contribute meaningfully to the empowerment of professionals and to the creation of safe, supportive, and inclusive educational environments.
