Mediation in Migration Governance: The Multiple Facets of Protection

MYTILENE, 8-10 JUNE 2022

The Observatory of the Refugee and Migration Crisis in the Aegean invites you to the International Workshop “Mediation in Migration Governance: The Multiple Facets of Protectiοn”. 

The Workshop will take place at the Auditorium of the Geography building, in the campus of the University of the Aegean (Mytilene, Lesvos), on June 8-10, 2022. 

The three-day Workshop is organised by the Observatory  in collaboration with two research projects, the AdMiGov (Advancing Alternative Migration Governance, Horizon 2020) and the HUMANcITY (H.F.R.I).

During the workshop  Greek and foreign academic researchers specialised in the field of migration governance, humanitarian management and protection, will present and discuss their work. 

The Workshop also includes two roundtables, in which representatives of international agencies, NGOs, official and unofficial humanitarian projects and migration collectives will discuss their on-the-ground experience 

as well as the different practices of mediation in the context of humanitarian interventions in Athens and Mytilene. 

The presentations and discussions will be held in English and are open to the public.
