Ευρωπαϊκή Διακυβέρνηση και Συνοχή στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση - Govart2020
The Summer School programme this year will study the relationship between the European Union as a dynamic economic and social actor through the European Governance process and all the EU stakeholders (institutions, Member States, regional and local authorities) with the cohesion of the European space.
Europe has always been a major global actor on a range of issues of general interest. This position gives to the EU the right to participate in the governance debate with a significant contribution: support for the establishment of governance, which is appropriate for European society and responds to the challenges of the 21st century for the role of the European region to renew the European Development Cooperation Policy and provide a privileged area for coordinating the relevant actions.
The Laboratory of Political and Social Institutions of the University of the Aegean is the academic coordinator of this Summer School. With the experience of the seven previous summer schools, our international academic team (Catholic University of Louvain, University Babes-Bolyai of Cluj, Panteion University, University of Paris-Est/ Créteil; University of Nantes) considers that this activity has the possibility to offer a very high level knoweldge.
Our objective is to work and discuss -in the form of workshops- with twenty young researchers (PhD candidtates or Master's students from European Universities), specialists on EU Cohesion issues.
We wait you at Oinousses island, a small island cluster located in North Aegean, between Chios island and the coasts of Asia Minor.
